The last but not least before you leave for good you will have a one day City Tour that includes visiting Kampong Ayer, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation Complex and The Royal Ragelia and the last day will be a tour in Brunei River to look and observe the rare species of monkey – The Probocis Monkey.
The Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation Complex is located adjacent to the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque. The Yayasan is a commercial and shopping complex that designed to generate revenue for a foundation dedicated to the walfare of the people. The complex is designed with an amalgamation of both traditional Malay and modern architecture.
The Royal Regalia Building is situated in the heart of Bandar Seri Begawan. It was built to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty's accession to the throne in 1992. Here you can see the collection of royal chariot, gold and silver ceremonial armory, the jewel-encrusted crowns used during the coronation and the replica of throne which His Majesty uses on state occasions.
Probocis Monkey is the Long-nosed Monkey and the color is reddish brown. It is a very rare species of monkey and can only be found in the Island of Borneo. In the last day, you will have a chance to see these monkeys as we cruise along Brunei River. These monkeys usually live in a small group of 10 to 32 and know to move from one group to another group quite often. These monkeys will not survive if they are captured and being takes care of human being. They are very independent and will look for their food themselves; they do not take bananas but only seeds, leaves, mangrove shoots and unripened fruit.
